Kia ora! Mālō le soifua! I'm Sara (she/her, Ngāti Rangi), a trans-female counsellor with a passion for supporting the rainbow community. My work centres on gender, mental health, addiction, relationships, and identity.

With lived experience and understanding, I create a safe, affirming space where clients can explore their true selves and navigate life’s challenges. I bring authenticity and compassion to every session.

Professional background 00

With registration under DAPAANZ, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Counselling, I bring robust training and developed skills to my work. I have a background in community mental health and addiction services, and I integrate various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), holistic therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). My lived experience enriches my professional practice, providing a strong foundation to help my clients. In addition to private practice, I work as Specialist Methamphetamine Clinician - assisting complex, multi-diagnosis clients to achieve wellness.

Feel free to drop me a line. Mauri ora!
